Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how warfare can be intensified by māyā—deception and illusion—suggesting that victory pursued through delusion and ruthless force deepens adharma and moral confusion rather than restoring order.

Sañjaya reports that two powerful, illusion-wielding Rākṣasa champions are engaged in direct combat on the battlefield, striking each other as the fighting rages.
