サンジャヤは言った。「おお、人の中の最上よ。おお、比類なき勇猛の英雄たちよ。もし我を見捨てるつもりがないのなら、戦え――汝らにふさわしい武威を示し、己が相応しくも輝かしい勇気をもって。」
संजय उवाच
The verse emphasizes kṣatriya-duty and ethical consistency: if one claims loyalty and protection, one must act in a manner worthy of that claim—showing appropriate courage and effort rather than abandoning an ally.
Sanjaya reports an urgent exhortation addressed to two mighty warriors: if they do not intend to forsake him, they should engage in battle at once and demonstrate the level of prowess expected of such eminent heroes.
