तदैवाहं वच: श्रुत्वा भवद्धयामनुसम्मतम्‌ | नाकरिष्यमिदं पार्थवैरं योधविनाशनम्‌,“उसी समय आपलोगोंकी सम्मति सुनकर मैं कुन्तीपुत्रोंके साथ यह वैर नहीं करता, जो सम्पूर्ण योद्धाओंके लिये विनाशकारी हो रहा है

tadaivāhaṃ vacaḥ śrutvā bhavad-dhyām anusammatam | nākariṣyam idaṃ pārtha-vairaṃ yodha-vināśanam ||

サञ्जयは言った。「まさにその時、そなたら二人が是とした助言を聞いて、私はプリター(クンティー)の子らとのこの怨みを追わぬと決めた。これは今や、あらゆる戦士に破滅をもたらす怨讐となっているのだ。」
