अनिलेन यथाभ्राणि विच्छिन्नानि समन्तत:
anilena yathābhrāṇi vicchinnāni samantataḥ
サञ्जयは言った。「風が雲を四方へ散らすように…」――戦場の陣が忽ち散り乱れ、強者でさえ制し得ぬ力に引き裂かれるさまを示す。隊列と命の脆さのうちに、戦の道義的な重みが感じられるのである。
संजय उवाच
The simile highlights impermanence and vulnerability: in war, power and order can be dispersed as easily as clouds by wind, reminding the listener of the instability of worldly arrangements and the ethical gravity of violence.
Sañjaya describes a scene of dispersal and fragmentation—likely of troops, formations, or combatants—using the image of clouds driven apart by wind to convey sudden, widespread scattering.
