Hearing the reproach of Droṇa and the Sātyaki–Pārṣata dispute
sahadevās tu rādhēyaṁ viddhvā navabhir āśugaiḥ | punar vivyādha daśabhir viśikhair nataparvabhiḥ ||

The verse highlights steadfastness and precision in the performance of one’s role during crisis: in war, a kṣatriya’s duty is carried out with resolve and skill, while the narrator’s framing reminds the listener that actions unfold within the larger moral burden of the Kurukṣetra conflict.
Sañjaya reports that Sahadeva hits Karṇa (Rādheya) first with nine swift arrows and then immediately follows with ten more straight, unbent-jointed shafts, intensifying the exchange of missiles on the battlefield.
