Even amid darkness and confusion, collective duty (svadharma) in war is shown through discipline, leadership, and coordinated action; the verse highlights how order is deliberately restored when conditions threaten to dissolve it.
As darkness covers the battlefield, all forces—along with their commanders—rearrange themselves into new battle formations, indicating a tactical reset in response to reduced visibility and heightened uncertainty.
