Droṇa’s Withdrawal, Death, and the Kaurava Rout (द्रोणनिधन-प्रसङ्गः)
sā bhūya eva dhvajinī vibhaktā vyarocatāgniprabhayā niśāyām

The verse highlights how disciplined organization and collective resolve can make a force appear formidable; ethically, it also underscores the grim irony that human order and brilliance can be harnessed to intensify destruction, especially in war.
Sañjaya reports that the army has been reorganized into divisions again, and in the darkness of night its massed, ordered presence appears to glow like fire—signaling renewed readiness for continued fighting.
