द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय १६२: प्रातःसंध्यायां युद्धप्रवृत्तिः तथा रजोमेघे संमूढता

ते वध्यमाना: पञ्चाला: समरे सह सृञ्जयै:

te vadhyamānāḥ pañcālāḥ samare saha sṛñjayaiḥ

サञ्जयは言った。戦場でパンチャーラはスリンジャヤとともに斬り伏せられ、武器の激突するただ中で殺されていった――それは、戦の容赦ない推進力が、同盟軍の全軍をも滅亡へと呑み込むさまの描写である。
