परं यत्नं कुर्वतां च त्वया सार्थ रणाजिरे

paraṁ yatnaṁ kurvatāṁ ca tvayā sārtha raṇājire

「たとえ汝とその同輩が戦場で力の限りを尽くそうとも、……」 (カルナは戦闘のさなかに語り、戦の道義的重圧と不確かさのもとで、人の努力には限界があることを示す。)
