Transliteration

paraṁ yatnaṁ kurvatāṁ ca tvayā sārtha raṇājire

Translation

「たとえ汝とその同輩が戦場で力の限りを尽くそうとも、……」 （カルナは戦闘のさなかに語り、戦の道義的重圧と不確かさのもとで、人の努力には限界があることを示す。）
