भीमचापच्युतैर्बाणैस्तव सैन्यमरिंदम । अवध्यत चमूमध्ये घोरैराशीविषोपमै:,शत्रुदमन! भीमसेनके धनुषसे छूटे हुए विषधर सर्पोके समान भयंकर बाणोंद्वारा सेनाके मध्यभागमें आपके सैनिकोंका वध हो रहा था
sañjaya uvāca | bhīmacāpacyutair bāṇais tava sainyam ariṃdama | avadhyata camūmadhye ghorair āśīviṣopamaiḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「敵を屈する者よ、戦陣のただ中で、汝の兵はビーマの弓より放たれた矢により斬り伏せられていた。毒蛇にも似た恐るべき矢束である。ひとたび自制が砕ければ、戦は容赦なき殺戮の奔流を解き放つ――その凄烈な勢いがそこに現れていた。」
