Śalya–Bhīma Gadāyuddham (मद्रराज-भीमसेन गदायुद्धम्)
चेकितानो<नुविन्देन युयुधे चातिभैरवम् । यथा देवासुरे युद्धे बलशक्रौ महाबलौ,चेकितान अनुविन्दके साथ अत्यन्त भयंकर युद्ध करने लगे, मानो देवासुर-संग्राममें महाबली बल और इन्द्र लड़ रहे हों
Cekitāno 'nuvindena yuyudhe cātibhairavam | yathā devāsure yuddhe balaśakrau mahābalau ||
サञ्जयは語った。チェーキターナはアヌヴィンダと、恐怖すら極まるほど激烈な戦いを交えた――それは、神々と阿修羅の古の戦において、大力のバラと帝釈天インドラが覇を争うかのごとくであった。この譬えは場面の法（ダルマ）的重みをいっそう際立たせる。武勇は頂点に達しながらも、それは同族相争う悲劇の奔流の中で展開してゆくのである。
