जानन्तो व्यवसायं च क्रूरं मारुततेजस: । किमर्थ क्रूरकर्माणं यमकालान्तकोपमम्‌

Transliteration

jānanto vyavasāyaṃ ca krūraṃ mārutatejasaḥ | kimarthaṃ krūrakarmāṇaṃ yamakālāntakopamam ||

Translation

ドリタラーシュトラは言った。「マールタ（風神）の威光を宿す強大な子の、あの苛烈な決意を知りながら、なぜ彼らは、閻魔にも比すべき、恐るべき業をなす者――死の終末そのもののような者――を挑発したのか。」
