Rātri-yuddhe Droṇasya prahāraḥ — Bhīmasenasya dhārtarāṣṭra-śūrānām nigrahaḥ

तद युद्धमासीत् सुमहद् घोरं देवासुरोपमम् | द्रोणस्प च महाराज भीमस्य च महात्मन:,महाराज! द्रोणाचार्य तथा महामनस्वी भीमसेनका वह महान युद्ध देवासुर-संग्रामके समान भयंकर था
tad yuddham āsīt sumahat ghoraṃ devāsuro'pamam | droṇasya ca mahārāja bhīmasya ca mahātmanaḥ ||
サञ्जयは語った。「その戦いはきわめて巨大にして凄惨、まるで神々と阿修羅の伝説の合戦のごとくであった。大王よ、ドローナと大魂のビーマセーナの対決は、人の尺度を超えたかに見えるほどの規模へと高まり—戦の圧倒的な力と、それを担う者が背負う重い道義の重みを映し出していた。」
