Duryodhana’s Incursion and the Tumult of Battle

वर्धते हविषेवाग्निरिध्यमान: पुन: पुन: । तस्य लक्ष्म न पश्यामि तेन विन्दामि कश्मलम्‌,“शत्रुदमन महाबाहु भीम! तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। यही मेरे शोकका कारण है। अर्जुन और सात्यकिके लिये ही मैं दुःखी हो रहा हूँ। जैसे बारंबार घी डालनेसे आग प्रज्वलित हो उठती है, उसी प्रकार मेरी शोकाग्नि बढ़ती जाती है। मैं अर्जुनका कोई चिह्न नहीं देखता, इसीसे मुझपर मोह छा रहा है

vardhate haviṣevāgnir idhyamānaḥ punaḥ punaḥ | tasya lakṣma na paśyāmi tena vindāmi kaśmalam ||

サンジャヤは言った。「わが悲嘆は幾度も幾度も増し、供物を注がれて燃えさかる火のようだ。彼のしるしが何ひとつ見えぬゆえ、迷妄(カシュマラ)と落胆が我を捉える。」
