द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय 128: दुर्योधनस्य परसेनाप्रवेशः

Duryodhana’s Incursion and the Tumult of Battle

वर्तमाने तथा रीद्रे संग्रामे लोमहर्षणे । संक्षये जगतस्तीव्रे युगान्त इव भारत,भरतनन्दन! वह रोमांचकारी भयंकर संग्राम प्रलयकालमें होनेवाले जगत्‌के भीषण संहार-सा उपस्थित हुआ था

vartamāne tathā raudre saṅgrāme lomaharṣaṇe | saṅkṣaye jagatas tīv­re yugānta iva bhārata ||

サンジャヤは言った。あの凄烈で身の毛もよだつ戦がなおも荒れ狂う中、そこに現れた恐るべき滅びは、まさに世界の終末そのもののようであった、バラタよ——万有を呑み込む劫末の大崩壊(プララヤ)のごとく。
