पश्य मे सूत विक्रान्तमिन्द्रस्येव महामृधे
paśya me sūta vikrāntam indrasyeva mahāmṛdhe
サンジャヤは言った。「おお、御者よ。この大戦における我が勇士の武威を見よ――まさにインドラのごとく。」
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how martial prowess is rhetorically elevated through divine comparison (Indra), reminding readers that in epic war-narrative, fame and morale are shaped by speech as much as by action—yet such praise also implicitly raises the ethical question of how glory is pursued amid destructive conflict.
Sañjaya addresses a charioteer (“sūta”), urging him to witness a warrior’s extraordinary valour in the midst of a major engagement, likening that prowess to Indra’s in battle.
