ततः: परमसंक्रुद्धो ज्वलिताविव पावकौ

サンジャヤは言った。「そののち、激しい憤怒にとらわれ、彼らは二つの火のように燃え上がった。怒りは破壊の力となって戦いを押し進めた。」
संजय उवाच
The verse uses the simile of fire to show how unchecked anger (krodha) rapidly intensifies and becomes destructive, overwhelming judgment and ethical restraint—an implicit warning that inner passions can fuel outer violence.
Sañjaya describes a turning point where the combatants (implied by the dual) become intensely enraged, their fury flaring like two fires, signaling an escalation in the ferocity of the battle.
