भूरिश्रवसः गर्हा, प्रायोपवेशः, सात्यकिकृतशिरच्छेदः

राजानं सर्वलोकस्य सर्वलोकमहारथम् | शरैरभ्याहनद् गाढं ततो युद्धम भूत् तयो:,सब लोगोंके राजा और समस्त संसारके विख्यात महारथी दुर्योधनको उन्होंने अपने बाणोंद्वारा गहरी चोट पहुँचायी। फिर तो उन दोनोंमें भारी युद्ध छिड़ गया

rājānaṃ sarvalokasya sarvaloka-mahāratham |
śarair abhyāhanad gāḍhaṃ tato yuddham abhūt tayoḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「彼は矢の斉射で、民の王にして天下に名高い大車戦士、ドゥルヨーダナ王を激しく射て打った。すると両者の間に猛き戦が起こった。」そこでは、戦の容赦ない要請のただ中で、武勇と王権とがともに試されるのである。
