Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention
अस्मिंस्तु किल सम्मर्दे ग्राह्में विविधमायुधम्
asmiṁstu kila sammarde grāhme vividham āyudham
サञ्जयは語った。「まさにその戦の押し合いへし合いのただ中に、村がひとつ出来たかのような人の密集があったという。そこでは種々の武器が奪い取られ、振るわれていた——戦の混沌たる濃密さを映す光景であり、分別は圧され、暴力の道義的な重みがあらわに浮かび上がるのである。」
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the nature of war as a dense, disorienting melee where many weapons are in play; ethically, it highlights how quickly conflict becomes chaotic and morally heavy, testing restraint and discernment.
Sañjaya is reporting the scene of a tightly packed battle-press, describing the crowded tumult where diverse weapons are being taken up and used amid the clash.
