Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca evam etan mahābāho yathā vadasi mādhava | na tu me śuddhyate bhāvaḥ śvetāśvaṃ prati māriṣa ||
Even when one intellectually accepts sound counsel, the heart may remain unpurified due to lingering attachment, grief, or moral unease; ethical clarity requires inner reconciliation, not merely agreement.
Yudhiṣṭhira responds to Kṛṣṇa (Mādhava), acknowledging that Kṛṣṇa’s reasoning is correct, yet confessing that his mind is still not at peace or purified concerning Śvetāśva, indicating unresolved emotional and moral tension amid the war’s events.
