Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)
मा च ते भयमपद्यास्तु राजन्नर्जुनसम्भवम्
mā ca te bhayam apadyāstu rājann arjuna-sambhavam
サンジャヤは言った。「王よ、アルジュナ(そして彼から生じるもの)ゆえに、恐れを心に起こしてはならぬ。」
संजय उवाच
The verse urges restraint of fear and steadiness of mind in crisis: a ruler should not be overwhelmed by anxiety about an opponent’s prowess, but remain composed and discerning.
Sañjaya, reporting the battlefield events to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, reassures the king not to succumb to fear prompted by Arjuna’s actions or the consequences arising from Arjuna’s prowess in the war.
