Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal
tān praviṣṭāṁs tadā dṛṣṭvā irāvān api vīryavān
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of alertness and readiness: upon witnessing a decisive movement in battle, a valorous warrior responds without hesitation, embodying courage and duty amid conflict.
Sañjaya narrates that certain fighters have entered/advanced (into a formation or position). Observing this development, Irāvān—described as powerful in valor—also reacts, indicating his participation in the next action of the battle sequence.
