तेडभिजाता महेष्वासा: सुवर्णविकृतध्वजा: । परीप्सन्तो5 भ्यधावन्त धृष्टद्युम्नवृकोदरौ

Transliteration

teḍabhijāta mahēṣvāsāḥ suvarṇa-vikṛta-dhvajāḥ | parīpsanto 'bhyadhāvanta dhṛṣṭadyumna-vṛkodarau ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。黄金で飾られた旗を掲げる、高貴に生まれた強弓の武者たちは、ドリシュタデュムナとヴリコーダラ（ビーマ）を守らんとして、烈しい勢いで前へ駆け出した。この偈は戦場の掟を示す。精鋭は腕前のみならず、危急にあって同朋を庇い立てる覚悟によっても量られるのだ。
