Adhyāya 70: Sātyaki’s Arrow-Display and the Bhūriśravas Engagement; Twilight Withdrawal
ye ca kṛṣṇaṃ prapadyante te na muhyanti mānavāḥ | bhaye mahati magnāṃś ca pāti nityaṃ janārdanaḥ ||
Taking refuge (prapatti) in Kṛṣṇa prevents moha (delusion) and brings steady protection even amid extreme fear; ethically, it commends reliance on divine guidance to preserve discernment and right action under pressure.
Bhīṣma, speaking within the Bhīṣma Parva context, praises Kṛṣṇa’s role as protector: he asserts that those who surrender to Kṛṣṇa do not become mentally confounded, and that Janārdana continually safeguards people when they are overwhelmed by danger.
