ततः कृत्वा विधिं सर्व शिबिरस्य यथाविधि । प्रदध्यौ शोकसंतप्तो भ्रातृव्यसनकर्शित:,वह शिबिरकी यथायोग्य सारी आवश्यक व्यवस्था करके भाइयोंके मारे जानेसे दुःखी एवं शोकसंतप्त हो चिन्तामें डूब गया
tataḥ kṛtvā vidhiṁ sarvaṁ śibirasya yathāvidhi | pradadhyau śokasaṁtapto bhrātṛvyasanakarśitaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。ついで彼は、陣営のために定められた一切の手配を法にかなって整え終えると、悲嘆に灼かれ、兄弟に降りかかった災厄にすり減らされて、不安な思索の淵へ沈み込んだ。
संजय उवाच
Even amid war and personal loss, one is shown first fulfilling one’s immediate duty (properly arranging the camp), yet the verse also acknowledges the ethical and human cost of conflict—grief and inner turmoil that follow violence, especially when it strikes one’s own kin.
Sañjaya reports that after completing all necessary, rule-bound arrangements for the army camp, the concerned figure becomes overwhelmed—brooding in sorrow and anxiety due to the disaster of his brothers being slain.
