सात्यको5पि ततस्तूर्ण भीमस्य प्रियकाम्यया । गाड़ेयसारथिं तूर्ण पातयामास सायकैः,इधर सात्यकिने भी भीमसेनका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे भीष्मके सारथिको तुरंत ही अपने सायकोंद्वारा मार गिराया
sātyako 'pi tatas tūrṇaṃ bhīmasya priyakāmyayā | gāḍeyasārathiṃ tūrṇaṃ pātayāmāsa sāyakaiḥ ||
サञ्जयは言った。「さらにサーティヤキもまた、ビーマの歓心を買わんとして素早く動き、矢をもってガーデーヤの御者をたちまち射倒した。」この句は、個人的な忠誠と味方を喜ばせたい衝動が、戦場の道義の霧の中で暴力をいっそう激しくし得ることを示している。
