Droṇa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna-yuddha (द्रोण-धृष्टद्युम्न-युद्धम्) — Tactical duel and allied interventions
तत्र देवर्षय: सिद्धाश्चारणाश्न समागता: । प्रैक्षनत तद् रणं घोरं देवासुरसमं भुवि,वहाँ आये हुए देवर्षियों, सिद्धों तथा चारणोंने भूतलपर होनेवाले उस युद्धको देवासुर- संग्रामके समान भयंकर देखा
tatra devarṣayaḥ siddhāś cāraṇāś ca samāgatāḥ | praiṣkṣanta tad raṇaṃ ghoraṃ devāsura-samaṃ bhuvi ||
サンジャヤは言った。「そこには天の聖仙（デーヴァリシ）、成就者（シッダ）、そしてチャーラナたちが集い、地上で繰り広げられるその恐るべき戦いを見守った——それは、かつての神々とアスラの戦争にも比すべき凄惨さであった。」
