Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
संजय उवाच एतच्छुत्वा महाराज भारद्वाजस्य धीमत: । अनुमान्य तमाचार्य प्रायाच्छारद्वतं प्रति
sañjaya uvāca etac chrutvā mahārāja bhāradvājasya dhīmataḥ | anumānya tam ācāryaḥ prāyāc chāradvataṃ prati ||
サンジャヤは言った。王よ、バラドヴァージャの賢き子(ドローナ)のこの言葉を聞くと、師は敬意をもってこれを認め、ついでシャーラドヴァタ(クリパ)のもとへ向かった。
संजय उवाच
Even in a battlefield context, right conduct includes listening carefully to wise counsel and showing proper respect (satkāra/gaurava) to elders and teachers; ethical order is maintained through disciplined speech, assent, and decorum.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Droṇa, after hearing the wise words attributed to him as Bhāradvāja’s son, respectfully agrees and then proceeds to Kṛpa (Śāradvata), indicating consultation/coordination among senior commanders.
