द्रोण उवाच न ते5स्ति विजयस्तावद् यावत् युद्धयाम्यहं रणे । ममाशु निधने राजन् यतस्व सह सोदरै:
Droṇa uvāca: na te 'sti vijayas tāvad yāvat yuddhayāmy ahaṃ raṇe | mamāśu nidhane rājan yatāsva saha sodaraiḥ ||
ドローナは言った。「王よ、私が戦場で戦い続けるかぎり、汝に勝利はない。ゆえに兄弟たちと力を合わせ、私の死が速やかに訪れるよう策を尽くせ。」
