भारतामृतसर्वस्वगीताया मथितस्य च । सारमुद्धृत्य कृष्णेन अर्जुनस्य मुखे हुतम्‌

bhāratāmṛta-sarvasva-gītāyā mathitasya ca | sāram uddhṛtya kṛṣṇena arjunasya mukhe hutam ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「甘露のごとき『マハーバーラタ』の精髄と仰がれる『バガヴァッド・ギーター』より、クリシュナはその義を攪拌して凝縮の核を汲み出し、その精華をアルジュナの口へと注ぎ入れた。すなわち教誨によって、彼の内なる心智へ直に授け、戦の道徳的危機のただ中で、アルジュナがダルマとしての務めを明らかにし、心を揺るがぬものとするためである。」
