cakṣuṣā sañjayo rājan divyenaiva samanvitaḥ | kathayiṣyati te yuddhaṃ sarvajñaś ca bhaviṣyati ||
The verse highlights that truthful understanding of events may require an elevated means of perception: Sañjaya’s divya-cakṣus symbolizes insight granted beyond ordinary senses, enabling responsible narration of a morally weighty war.
Vaiśampāyana informs the king that Sañjaya, empowered with divine vision, will be able to witness the distant battlefield and report the unfolding war accurately, as though omniscient regarding the events there.
