भीमसेनो गदां भीमां प्रकर्षन् परिघोपमाम् | प्रचकर्ष महासैन्यं दुराधर्षो महामना:,दुर्जय वीर महामनस्वी भीमसेन हाथमें परिघके समान मोटी एवं भयंकर गदा लिये अपने साथ विशाल सेनाको खींचे लिये जा रहे थे
sañjaya uvāca | bhīmaseno gadāṃ bhīmāṃ prakarṣan pari ghopamām | pracakārṣa mahāsainyaṃ durādharṣo mahāmanāḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。剛勇のビーマセーナは、鉄の棍棒にも似た、太く恐るべき大槌を引きずるように携え、前へ前へと押し進み、まるで巨大な軍勢を自らの後ろへ引き連れていくかのようであった。大いなる魂を持ち、近づき難い彼は、ダルマにかなうが苛烈な戦の業において、征服しがたい力そのものとして進軍した。
