サンジャヤは言った。マツヤ、パンチャーラ、チェーディの武将たちが、ただ一人のビ―シュマに向かって一斉に突進すると、戦場には大いなるどよめきが轟いた。歩兵・騎兵・戦車の群れと、数知れぬ矢の雨とで、彼らは雲が太陽を覆うように四方からビ―シュマを包み込んだ。だがガンガーの子ビ―シュマは、敵の圧迫のただ中に孤然と立ち、なおその武威で敵陣を灼き続けた。
