ऋते महेन्द्रतनयाच्छवेताश्वात्‌ कृष्णसारथे: । कृष्णसारथि

Transliteration

ṛte mahendratanayāc chvetāśvāt kṛṣṇasārathēḥ |

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「インドラの子アルジュナ—白馬の車に乗り、クリシュナを御者とする者—を除けば、他のパーンダヴァの大車戦士たちは、バーラタの血統に属するあの剛勇の英雄を討ち破る勇気も、ましてその前に立つ胆力も、いかなる形でも持ち得なかった。この偈は、戦の道義的圧力のもとでは、真の力量は武器のみならず、心の揺るがぬ堅さと正しき助言の支えによって測られることを示す。」
