भीष्मस्य जलप्रार्थना — अर्जुनस्य पर्जन्यास्त्रप्रयोगः — दुर्योधनं प्रति सन्ध्युपदेशः

तौ तु तत्र महात्मानौ समेतौ वीक्ष्य पाण्डवी

サञ्जयは語った。そこにて、パーンダヴィー（ドラウパディー）は、偉大なる魂をもつ二人の勇士が相集うのを見て、鋭い注意をもって彼らを見守った――義務（ダルマ）と戦の展開における不吉な一瞬であり、強者の邂逅は戦場における運命の次なる転回を告げるのである。
