ऋषभा: शास्त्रपठितास्तथा जलचराश्न ये । सर्वास्तानभ्ययुग्जंस्ते तत्राग्निचयकर्मणि
ṛṣabhāḥ śāstrapaṭhitās tathā jalacarāś ca ye | sarvāṁs tān abhyayujjaṁs te tatrāgnicayakarmaṇi ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。経典（シャーストラ）に通暁した人中の雄たち、また水に関わる者たちも、皆そこで聖なる火壇を築く儀礼（アグニ・チャヤ）の作業に、規定どおりに従事させられた。かくして、資格ある諸集団はそれぞれ、定められた法と次第に従い、祭儀の務めに相応の役割を与えられたのである。
