उपायात॑ नरव्याप्र॑ फाल्गुनं प्रत्यवेदयत्‌ । वह बुद्धिमान्‌ दूत कुरुश्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिके पास जा उन्हें नमस्कार करके बोला --'पुरुषसिंह अर्जुन निकट आ गये हैं' ।।

Transliteration

upāyāt naravyāghra phālgunaṁ pratyavedayat | sa buddhimān dūtaḥ kuruśreṣṭha yudhiṣṭhiram upagamya namaskṛtvā uvāca—“puruṣasiṁha arjunaḥ nikaṭam āgataḥ” || tac chrutvā nṛpatis tasya harṣabāṣpākulekṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

賢明な使者がクル族の最勝者ユディシュティラに近づき、礼拝して告げた。「人中の獅子よ、アルジュナが近くまで参りました。」それを聞くや、王の眼は歓喜の涙に潤み――危難の務めを果たした愛しき者が無事に帰るときに訪れる安堵と、ダルマにかなう情愛がそこに現れた。
