Disclosure and Consolation
तमन्वधावत् संक्रुद्धो भीमसेन: प्रतापवान् । हदे द्वैपायने चापि सलिलस्थं ददर्श तम्
tam anvadhāvat saṁkruddho bhīmasenaḥ pratāpavān | hrade dvaipāyane cāpi salilasthaṁ dadarśa tam ||
ヴァースデーヴァは言った。怒りに燃えた剛勇のビーマセーナは彼を追い立てた。そして「ドヴァイパーヤナ」と呼ばれる湖の水中に身を潜める彼をも見つけ出した。
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights how anger fuels relentless action, yet hiding cannot erase accountability. In the ethical frame of the epic, consequences follow one’s choices, and attempts to evade them only delay confrontation.
Bhīma, furious, chases his adversary and discovers him concealed in the waters of the Dvaipāyana lake—identifying Duryodhana’s hiding place.
