यद् दुर्लभं हि लोकेडस्मिन् रत्नमत्यद्भुतं महत् | तदानयेयं तपसा न हि मे<त्रास्ति संशय:
yad durlabhaṁ hi loke 'smin ratnam atyadbhutaṁ mahat | tad ānaye'yaṁ tapasā na hi me 'trāsti saṁśayaḥ ||
ガウタマは言った。「この世にある、きわめて得難く、驚異に満ち、偉大なる宝玉が何であれ、私は苦行（タパス）の力によってそれをもたらすことができます。そこに疑いはありません。」
