Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
vāyudeva uvāca | prajāpatiḥ idaṃ sarvaṃ manasaivāsṛjat prabhuḥ | tathaiva devān ṛṣayas tapasa pratipedire śakti-sampannāḥ ||
Creation and spiritual elevation are grounded in inner power: Prajāpati creates through mind (saṅkalpa), and sages attain divine status through tapas (disciplined austerity). The verse elevates mental resolve and self-discipline as ethically superior sources of power.
Vāyudeva instructs by citing cosmic precedent: the creator Prajāpati manifests the world through mind alone, and the ṛṣis become godlike through austerity. The statement functions as a moral-spiritual argument that true potency arises from inner discipline rather than external means.
