Adhyāya 42 — Mahābhūta–Indriya–Adhyātma-Vyavasthā
Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties
त्वग्घ्राणश्रोत्रचक्षूंषि रसना वाक् च संयता: । विशुद्धं च मनो यस्य बुद्धिश्चाव्यभिचारिणी
tvag-ghrāṇa-śrotra-cakṣūṃṣi rasanā vāk ca saṃyatāḥ | viśuddhaṃ ca mano yasya buddhis cāvyabhicāriṇī ||
ヴァーユは言った。「触（皮膚）、香（鼻）、声（耳）、色（眼）—これらの働きに、舌とことばを加えた諸機能を制し、心を清め、知（ブッディ）を一つの決意に揺るがず据える者は、吉祥なるブラフマンに到る。これより上なるものはない。」
