उपपत्तिं तु वक्ष्यामि गर्भस्याहमत: परम्‌ । तथा तनन्‍्मे निगदतः: शृणुष्वावहितो द्विज

upapattiṁ tu vakṣyāmi garbhasyāham ataḥ param | tathā tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇuṣvāvahito dvija ||

シッダは言った。「これより先、身を帯びた存在がいかにして胎内に入り、そこで形を取り、出生へと進むのかを、順を追って説こう。婆羅門よ、私が語るこの次第を、心を一つにして注意深く聞け。」
