Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly (आश्रमवासिक पर्व, अध्याय ३६)
यदत्रानन्तरं कार्य तद् भवान् वक्तुमर्हति । इत्युक्त: संजयेनेदं पुनराह स पार्थिव:,“अब इसके बाद क्या करना चाहिये--यह बतानेकी कृपा करें।” संजयके ऐसा कहनेपर राजाने फिर कहा--
yad atrānantaraṃ kāryaṃ tad bhavān vaktum arhati | ity uktaḥ saṃjayenedam punar āha sa pārthivaḥ |
「この後、いかにすべきか——どうかお教えください。」サンジャヤがそう述べると、王は再び答えた。このやり取りは、ダルマにかなう姿勢を示している。すなわち、衝動に任せる前に正しい導きを求め、熟慮と助言を第一とするのである。
