प्राप्तं पुत्रफलं त्वत्त: प्रीतिर्मे परमा त्वयि | न मे मन्युर्महाबाहो गम्यतां पुत्र मा चिरम्‌,“बेटा! तुम्हारे साथ रहकर तथा तुम-जैसे रक्षकसे सुरक्षित होकर मैं उसी तरह आनन्दका अनुभव कर रहा हूँ, जैसे पहले हस्तिनापुरमें करता था। विद्वन्‌! प्रियजनोंकी सेवामें लगे रहनेवाले तुम्हारे द्वारा मुझे पुत्रका फल प्राप्त हो गया। तुमपर मेरा बहुत प्रेम है। महाबाहो! पुत्र! मेरे मनमें तुम्हारे प्रति किंचिन्मात्र भी क्रोध नहीं है; अतः तुम राजधानीको जाओ, अब विलम्ब न करो

prāptaṃ putraphalaṃ tvattaḥ prītir me paramā tvayi | na me manyur mahābāho gamyatāṃ putra mā ciram ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「汝より我は子を持つ真の果報を得た。汝への愛はこの上なく深い。強き腕の者よ、我は汝に対していささかの怒りも抱かぬ。ゆえに、わが子よ、都へ行け—遅れるな。」
