Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
तां रात्रिमखिलामेवं विहृत्य प्रीतमानसा:
tāṁ rātrim akhilām evaṁ vihṛtya prītamānasāḥ
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「かくして彼らは夜のすべてを心地よい遊興に過ごし、心は満ち足りていた(和やかに、安らかに時を送った)。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even amid the aftermath of great conflict, dharma can express itself as restraint and quiet concord—finding contentment without indulgence, and allowing the mind to settle into peace as one moves toward a life of renunciation.
The narrator indicates that the group spent the whole night in a calm, agreeable manner—passing time pleasantly and becoming inwardly satisfied—setting up the next sequence of events in the forest-retirement episode.
