Transliteration

ekāṃ rātriṃ vihṛtyaiva te vīrās tāś ca yoṣitaḥ

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「ただ一夜のみ遊興に過ごしたのち、あの勇士たち—そして女たちもまた—（やがて先へと進んだ）。それは放縦ではなく、短く節度ある休止であったことを示し、この巻の厳粛で義務に縛られた気分にふさわしい。」
