Even in the shadow of catastrophic war, the restoration of rightful relationships—meeting one’s own kin and community—can steady the mind and prevent it from being overwhelmed by grief, fear, and the sense of dishonour.
The narrator describes a scene of mutual meeting and reunion among those connected to the warriors—fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons—emphasizing that this coming together leaves no room for sorrow, terror, agitation, or ill-fame in their hearts.
