इत्युक्त्वान्तहिंतो विप्रस्ततो5हं विस्मिताभवम् | न च सर्वास्ववस्थासु स्मृतिर्मे विप्रणश्यति
ity uktvāntarhito vipras tato 'haṁ vismitābhavam | na ca sarvāsv avasthāsu smṛtir me vipraṇaśyati ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「そう言い終えると、そのブラフマリシ(brahmarṣi)は姿を消した。その瞬間、私は驚嘆に打たれた。そして、いかなる境遇にあろうとも、彼の言葉の記憶は私から薄れることがない。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the enduring force of a sage’s instruction: true counsel rooted in dharma remains unforgettable and continues to guide one across changing circumstances.
After delivering his message, the brahmarṣi vanishes (antarhita). The narrator (Vaiśampāyana) expresses astonishment and affirms that the sage’s words remain permanently impressed in his memory.
