कुन्त्याः वनगमननिश्चयः — Kuntī’s Resolve to Depart for the Forest
केचिद् यानैर्नरा जम्मु: केचिदश्वैर्महाजवै: । काज्चनैश्व रथै: केचिज्ज्वलितज्वलनोपमै:,कुछ लोग पालकियोंपर सवार होकर चले और कुछ लोग महान् वेगशाली घोड़ोंद्वारा यात्रा करने लगे। कितने ही मनुष्य प्रज्वलित अग्निके समान चमकीले सुवर्णमय रथोंपर आरूढ़ होकर वहाँसे प्रस्थित हुए
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | kecid yānair narā jagmuḥ kecid aśvair mahājavaiḥ | kāñcanaiś ca rathaiḥ kecij jvalitajvalanopamaiḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ある者は輿に乗って出立し、ある者は剛健で疾駆する馬にまたがって旅した。さらにある者は、燃え立つ火のごとく輝く黄金の戦車に乗ってそこを発った――王者の壮麗と、大随行が秩序正しく動くさまを映す光景であった。
