Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
जगदग्निरुवाच नैतस्थेह यथास्माकं भक्तमिन्धनमेव च । संचिन्त्यं वार्षिक चित्ते तेन पीवाउछुना सह
Jamadagnir uvāca: na etat iha yathā asmākam bhaktam indhanam eva ca | sañcintyam vārṣikam citte tena pīvā ucchunā saha ||
ジャマダグニは言った。「ここでは我らのようではない。食と、さらには薪に至るまで、一年を通して不安な算段を心に抱えねばならぬのが我らだ。だが彼の胸にはその年中の憂いがない。ゆえに犬とともにふくよかになったのだ。」
